Free identity credential. Free credit reports. Forever.
Verify once and reuse your verified identity credential across the FreshCredit ecosystem — and build credit reports from your own accounts. No data warehouse, no selling your data.
Verified identity credential
The FreshCredit Identity credential is issued through Microsoft Entra Verified ID and held in your own wallet — reusable identity verification for our ecosystem.
Name, email, and role claims
The credential carries verified name, email, and role claims — nothing more. No document uploads, no liveness checks.
Scan once with Microsoft Authenticator
Scan a QR code once with Microsoft Authenticator (or any compatible wallet) to receive your credential in minutes.
Reusable via presentation requests
Providers in the FreshCredit ecosystem request proof, you approve a presentation request, and the same credential is verified again — no re-enrollment.
Optional KILT DID
Advanced users can anchor a KILT decentralized identifier for self-sovereign identity outside the Microsoft stack.
Honest scope: this is a first verification layer — providers with regulatory KYC obligations may require more.
The FreshCredit Report
A free credit report built from your own connected accounts — the transactions, payments, and balances you choose to link, organized into a credit-grade format you control.
Not a bureau report
The FreshCredit Report is not an Equifax, Experian, or TransUnion bureau report. It is your own data, structured so providers can underwrite against it.
Equifax: coming soon
Bureau reports through Equifax are coming soon for US users. They are a separate product — never part of the free-forever promise.
Self-custody vault
Your data lives in an encrypted vault inside your own browser (OPFS/IndexedDB) — not on our servers.
Optional personal cloud replica
Want backup? Enable an encrypted replica in your own personal cloud. It stays encrypted end to end.
No data warehouse
There is no central warehouse of user data to breach, broker, or mine — so free access doesn't need a data business behind it.
We sell infrastructure, not data
FreshCredit makes money selling verification and credit infrastructure to providers. Users are customers, not inventory.
Is this KYC?
Not in the regulatory sense. The FreshCredit Identity credential is a verified identity credential — name, email, and role claims verified through Microsoft Entra Verified ID. We don't run document checks or liveness checks. It is a first verification layer; providers with regulatory KYC obligations may require more.
Is the FreshCredit Report a credit bureau report?
No. It is a real credit report built from your own connected accounts, but it is not issued by Equifax, Experian, or TransUnion. Equifax bureau reports are coming soon for US users.
Why is it free forever?
Your data never becomes our cost center or our product. It stays in a self-custody vault in your browser, with an optional encrypted replica in your personal cloud. There is no data warehouse to fund — we make money from provider infrastructure.
Where is my data stored?
In an encrypted vault in your own browser (OPFS/IndexedDB), under your control. If you enable backup, an encrypted replica lives in your personal cloud. FreshCredit does not operate a user-data warehouse.
What do I need to get the credential?
Microsoft Authenticator (or a compatible digital wallet). Scan once, and your credential is reusable across the FreshCredit ecosystem through presentation requests.
